2024 Sierra 1500 Crew Cab Short Box 4WD

The Sierra 1500 is available as a Regular Cab, Double Cab, or Crew Cab. The Regular Cab features just two doors and a three-passenger limit. Both the Double Cab and Crew Cab can seat six passengers thanks to a rear bench and set of rear doors.

The Crew Cab is the largest of the two-row Sierra trucks. Its doors are full size, and the rear passenger area is more spacious. If you’ve got teenagers or adult passengers joining your drives in Mandan, the Crew Cab is unquestionably the more comfortable ride thanks to its 43.4 inches of rear leg room (8 inches more than the Double Cab!). And even without passengers, you can really never have too much interior room.

You can have the Sierra 1500 with either a short bed (70 inches long), standard bed (79.4 inches), or long bed (98.2 inches). The Crew Cab is offered with only the short or standard bed, with many people in Mandan preferring the short bed.

It might be called “short” on paper, but the short bed is far from tiny. Considering the eight included tie-downs, available MultiPro tailgate, and all the interior space already available in the Crew Cab, you’ll be hard-pressed to run out of space to fit things in the Sierra 1500.

The most common trim you’ll find when shopping for a Sierra 1500 Crew Cab Short Box 4WD is the Elevation. This is one of many trim levels for the Sierra 1500, and it’s well-rounded: better equipped than the entry-level Pro and SLE, but not quite as expensive as the full-featured AT4 and Denali.

The Elevation trim has a long list of standard features that North Dakota drivers will find quite valuable, especially in the winter, like heated exterior mirrors, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. It also comes with a Google built-in infotainment system that runs on a 13.4-inch touch screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay® and wireless Android Auto™ smartphone compatibility are also included.

Other truck manufacturers sometimes limit the bed and cab size options depending on trim level, but the Sierra 1500’s Short Box and Crew Cab can be had with any of the trims—not just the Elevation.
