Does the VIP Powertrain Warranty Cost Extra?
We understand that some things may sound too good to be true. But there’s no catch when it comes to our VIP Powertrain Warranty, and there’s no extra cost! This perk is included in all new vehicle purchases at Schwan Buick GMC. It doesn’t matter if you purchase a family-friendly Buick Envision or off-road-ready GMC Terrain AT4.
Are All Vehicles Eligible for the VIP Powertrain Warranty?
This warranty offer extends to new Buick and GMC vehicles purchased at Schwan Buick GMC. New vehicles come with a 5 year standard factory warranty; Schwan VIP Powertrain Warranty will cover an additional 2 years, so long as the odometer is under 125,000 miles. It’s also included with select used vehicles that are no older than 5 years and have 50,000 miles or fewer on the odometer, coverage is for 2 years. Some vehicles are not eligible for the Schwan VIP Powertrain Warranty, such as high-performance sports cars, so be sure to ask a sales member before finalizing your purchase.
Owner's Responsibilities
Simply maintain your vehicle to the manufacturer’s recommendations, and we will pay for covered claims up to our generous limit of liability. Giving you a VIP Powertrain Warranty is one way of reinforcing our commitment to you as our valuable customer! Please see warranty documents for details on coverage limits.
Can I Transfer the VIP Powertrain Warranty?
Unfortunately, the Schwan VIP Powertrain Warranty may not be transferred to future owners. Even if you move to Bismarck or Lincoln, just come back and see us for your repairs.
What Does the VIP Powertrain Warranty Cover?
Engine: Cylinder block, cylinder head(s), rotor
housings and their internal parts, intake manifold, exhaust manifold(s),
timing gears, timing chain(s) or belt(s), timing chain or belt
tensioner(s) and timing chain or belt cover, valve cover(s), flywheel or
flexplate, ring gear, harmonic balancer, oil pump, vacuum pump, water
pump, oil pan, turbocharger or supercharger housing(s) and their
internal parts, waste gate, intercooler, engine mounts, and EGR
valve.
Transmission/Transfer Case/All-Wheel Drive Assembly:
Transmission case, transaxle case, transfer case and their internal
parts, torque converter, vacuum modulator, cooler and metal cooler
lines, transmission mounts, slave cylinder, and master cylinder of a
manual transmission clutch assembly.
Drivetrain Assembly: Final drive and axle housing(s)
and their internal parts, axle shafts and bearings, universal and
constant velocity joints, drive shaft(s), center bearings and drive
shaft yokes, four-wheel-drive engagement actuator/motor, traction
control linkage, solenoids, control processor and sensors, 4x4 locking
hub, front-wheel drive, and rear-wheel drive.
Consequential damages are subject to state laws. Subsequent damages to
or from non-covered parts are excluded. Coverage on these major
components could save you significant repair costs over the lifetime of
your vehicle!
