Enormous Torque Output

The dual electric motor setup in the Hummer EV SUV 2X generates 570 hp and an incredible 7,400 lb-ft of torque. It produces all its torque nearly instantly, since electric motors don’t need to build up speed like gasoline engines. In Off-Road mode, the SUV uses its flat torque curve to easily navigate steep inclines or loose terrain such as mud or gravel.

While the base model delivers impressive torque, the EV 3X trim level offers the Hummer EV SUV’s best performance figures, including its 0 to 60 mph time of 3.5 seconds. Powered by three electric motors, the Hummer EV SUV 3X produces 830 hp and a best-in-class 11,500 lb-ft of torque for unrestricted off-roading.

Impressive Range

There are no charging stations in the wilderness, which is why the Hummer EV comes prepared with an EPA-estimated 315 miles of electric range. The SUV is powered by General Motors’s Ultium battery platform, which supports 800V DC fast charging at speeds of up to 300 kW. You can also connect the EV to a Level 1 or Level 2 charger to gently replenish the electric range overnight.

The Hummer EV is compatible with approximately 174,000 public chargers, which can be located on the SUV’s 13.4-inch infotainment screen. You can monitor charging time and check the availability of over 15,000 Tesla Superchargers using the myGMC mobile app.

Excellent Ground Clearance

12 inches of ground clearance allows you to take the SUV wherever you please without scraping its underbelly. Additionally, a 44.3° approach angle and 43.3° departure angle (without a spare tire) protect the bumper when climbing boulders. Smart Off-Roading Technology

For additional ride height, you can engage Extract Mode to increase the Hummer EV’s ground clearance to 16 inches, approach angle to 49.6° and departure angle to 49.0°. You can also cross bodies of water more confidently with Extract Mode’s improved 32-inch water fording rating.

Increasing ride height doesn’t help if going backward and forward doesn’t work. This is when the CrabWalk feature comes in handy and gets you out of situations by applying throttle diagonally. When CrabWalk is engaged, the SUV turns its rear wheels parallel to the front ones to maneuver around large obstacles.
